Health Screen Camp at Whitefield Breakfast Service Centre – January 2017

It is said it takes a village to raise a child. To ensure that children continue to reap the benefits of healthful breakfast and values-based sessions, Annapoorna Trust aims to reach out to their village as a community.

Towards this, the volunteers of Annapoorna Breakfast Program have been involved in conducting regular health screening and ensure good health and well-being of school children. About 100 children at Whitefield Breakfast Service centre, who are Annapoorna breakfast recipients, were screened. By focusing on the 4Ds in children – Defects, Deficiencies, Diseases and Developmental Delays – health of children through timely Detection, Prevention, Education and Medical Management can be achieved.

Children are the future of our nation, and it is our responsibility to give each one of them an equitable opportunity to fully grow into healthy and happy adults, wholly developed in body, mind and spirit.
