Indivillage Collaboration

IndiVillage Foundation
Incorporated in the year 2019, IndiVillage Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on closing the learning and skill gap in rural India with interventions in Karnataka. They enable youth and children to participate in sustainable livelihood opportunities by empowering themselves with 21st-century skills.
In October 2024, IndiVillage partnered with Annapoorna Trust to support the holistic development of children during their early childhood years by fostering their biological, cognitive, and socio-emotional growth. The objective is to implement 3year early childhood intervention programs consisting of Nutrition, Foundational literacy, and libraries in government schools of Karnataka. 50,000 students will be benefited with Morning Nutrition in Raichur, Bagalkot, and Udupi districts of Karnataka.
The program will focus on two key interventions aimed at holistic child development.
• Led by the IndiVillage Foundation, aims to enhance foundational literacy and social-emotional learning among 4-8-year-old students in the aspirational districts at the government schools of Raichur and Bagalkot districts by establishing mini-libraries with engaging storybooks to promote reading skills.
• Executed by the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, it involves serving morning nutrition to 50,000 students in 330 government schools in the aspirational districts of Raichur, Bagalkot, and Udupi Districts in Karnataka, in collaboration with Annapoorna. The Trust also provides basic training to teachers and the IndiVillage Foundation team for efficient supplement distribution. This initiative is supported by an existing MoU between the Trust and the Government of Karnataka (GoK).
Together, this collaboration not only nourishes young minds and bodies but also lays the foundation for a brighter, more equitable future for the next generation.
