Annapoorna Breakfast Programme makes a debut in Mehaboob Nagar, Telangana State
Friday saw the coming together of Annapoorna, Government officials and community to start the breakfast programme for the 150 children of Government Primary School Yedira.
The villagers had approached us earlier bringing to our notice the plight of their children, most of whom would miss breakfast every morning simply because they could not afford it.
After consultation with the village panchayat and school authorities, the Annapoorna Breakfast Programme was launched in the school last Friday.
The inaugural programme launch was attended by the local MLA Sri Srinivas Goud, who offered his support for Annapoorna’s work. Other dignitaries in attendance were the District Education Officer, Teachers and Staff of the school, villagers and Annapoorna volunteers.
