Morning Nutrition expansion in Puducherry – 12th and 14th December 2022
Morning nutrition expansion took place in the Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam districts of Puducherry Union Territory on 12th & 14th December 2022 where SaiSure multi nutrient health mix is provided to Govt school children. Previously, in June 2022, official launch had taken place in Raj Nivas, in the presence of Hon. Lt. Governor of Puducherry Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan. With this expansion in all 4 districts in Puducherry Union Territory, Annapoorna Morning Nutrition now has its presence in 267 schools serving 27,575 children.
The health mix will be provided on all 5 days a week, along with milk provided by the Puducherry government. The launches were held in Karaikal and Mahe districts on 12th December 2022, and in the Yanam district on 14th December 2022, both presided over by government officials and school staff.
On 12th December 2022, SaiSure Multi Nutrient Health Mix was launched in Government Middle School, Thirunallar in Karaikal district. A total of 7961 children in 90 schools will receive Morning Nutrition. The event was attended by the CEO – Mr. K Rajashekar, the Mid-day meal in charge – Mr. Vijayakumar, the HM, organizers, and cooks. From Annapoorna Trust, Mr. Saravanan – Regional coordinator of Tamil Nadu, was present.
On the same day, 12th December 2022, another launch in Mahe district was held in Government Lower Primary School, attended by CEO – Mr. Uttamraj and Regional Administrator – Mr. Shivaraj Meena. From Annapoorna Trust, Mr. Santosh Allath – National Manager, and Mr. Jaya Krishnan – Regional Coordinator of Kerala, and volunteers – Mr. Satishan, Mr. Rajesh, and Mr. Ranjeeth, were present. In this district, 1462 children from 8 schools will receive SaiSure Multi Nutrient Health Mix on all 5 days a week.
At the event, the Regional Administrator – Mr. Shivaraj Meena said, “Annapoorna Trust has brought out a wonderful Morning Nutrition programme for the benefit of children. Request each one of you to partake SaiSure every day, make the best use of the opportunity and come out as healthier beings. Some of the children would get a small packet of other health and nutrition mixes available in the market, to school to mix with the milk provided by the government. Now those children will save at least Rs.100/- every month instead of spending on health and energy powders available commercially. We also request the Trust to start for lower and upper kindergarten children in the entire Puducherry Union Territory.”
On 14th December 2022, SaiSure Multi Nutrient Health Mix was launched in Dr. Zakir Hussain Govt. English Medium Primary School, Yanam district. It was held in the presence of dignitaries like the CEO- Mr. Praveen, and the Regional Administrator – Mr. Muniswamy. From Annapoorna Trust, Mr. Santosh Allath – National Manager, was present. A total of 2,000 children across 18 schools in this district will receive Morning Nutrition.
