Mega Medical Camp at Dibbur Village

Sundays are meant for relaxation and family. Our volunteers and doctors spent this Sunday with their adopted families, relaxing and rejuvenating themselves in a different way. They spent the day conducting a large-scale medical camp in Dibbur, a remote village about 150 kilometers away from Bangalore.
Doctors from various disciplines including pediatrics, dermatology, diabetes and gynecology, with the help of our volunteers conducted a comprehensive wellness screening and medical camp for the local and nearby villagers. Dental and eye-screening camps too were conducted, in collaboration with RV Dental College and Narayana Netralaya. The volunteers helped set up the entire infrastructure for the medical camp including tents, registration tables and chairs.

The villagers, who came for checkups, were treated for various ailments. Patients, who needed spectacles were provided a new pair. The doctors displayed amazing patience and showed great competency as they treated each individual in an efficient and loving manner. More than 500 villagers attended and benefitted from the camp.
All the villagers were provided with a sumptuous lunch before they left to their respective homes. Post the medical camp, cataract operations were performed on 10 patients from the village at Narayana Netralaya, absolutely free of cost.
