Annapoorna interacts with the youth from LEAD Programme youth

Team Annapoorna had the proud privilege of hosting a group of 120 young men and women from the LEAD Programme. The group came to Muddenahalli and were spoken to about the Annapoorna programme and its many initiatives. The entire session was very interactive. Post lunch the group was taken on a tour of the campus as well as the two villages of Bandahalli and Byranayakana Halli to offer a better perspective of the work we do.
About LEAD Programme
The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Making up more than 60 per cent of our country’s population, there is no denying the fact that it is the youth of India that can lead us to a better future. The youth with their unbridled energy, ideas and passion only need to wake up to their potential and march forward with confidence and compassion. To help achieve this, the LEaders Accelerating Development (LEAD) Program of the Deshpande Foundation was born. LEAD kindles innovative and entrepreneurial thinking in college students by exposing them to social issues, encouraging them to volunteer their time and efforts for the community and motivating them to use their talent to come up with creative solutions. Through this unique platform provided by LEAD, many students have gained the skills and confidence needed to transform their visions into realities.
