The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the United Nations in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with governments, businesses, and civil society, they aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious foods for all people, especially the most vulnerable. In India, the first reported case of Covid-19 was confirmed on 30 January 2020. But in-spite of taking measures to avoid the spike of COVID cases, second wave during April 2021 was a severe blow. Nevertheless, even if things are coming back to normal currently, it might take a good amount of time for many people overcome the trauma and losses faced due to pandemic. Annapoorna Trust in collaboration with The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) have come forward to assist the vulnerable population.
