Annapoorna Trust, on Wednesday, 16th June 2021, reached out with 175 grocery kits to needy families of rural government school cooks in Yerragondapalem Mandal, Prakasam District in Andra Pradesh. Due to the pandemic, these families are currently unable to make ends meet. Annapoorna Trust in collaboration with ‘Rural India Supporting Trust’ (RIST) and ‘Partnerships For Change’ (PFC) has been reaching out to a more needy population in rural India, which is now reeling under the second wave of COVID-19.
Formal inaugration of grocery kits distribution took place in the presence of Education minister Adimulapu Suresh on 09th June. Subsequently, on 16th June, distribution of grocery kits were made in the presence of MEO Anjaneyalu garu, MPDEO Sai Kumar along with other dignitaries & volunteers. Each grocery kit containing 10kg of rice, 2kg of wheat flour, 1 kg of toor dal, 1kg channa dal, 1L cooking oil, 2kg of sugar, 1kg of salt, vermicelli, along with spices such as chilly powder, jeera, mustard and turmeric.
