Groceries for Mid-day meal cooks in Rajapet, Telangana State

On Sunday, 13th June 2021, Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust reached out with grocery kits to 92 needy families of rural government school cooks in Rajapet Mandal, Bhongir District in Telangana state. Due to the pandemic, these families are currently unable to make ends meet. From this relief programme, the families are able to sustain themselves.

 

Annapoorna is collaborating with ‘Rural India Supporting Trust’ (RIST) and ‘Partnerships For Change’ (PFC) to further the cause of reaching out to more needy population in rural India, which is now reeling under the second wave of COVID-19. As a part of this relief programme, 15000 needy families of mid-day meal cooks working in government schools, whose livelihoods are affected by the pandemic will be given grocery kits, each containing 10kg of rice, 2kg of wheat flour, 1 kg of toor dal, 1kg channa dal, 1 litre cooking oil, 2kg of sugar, 1kg of salt, vermicelli, along with spices such as chilli powder, jeera, mustard and turmeric.
