Dry Ration kit distribution for MDM cooks at Bheemunipatnam, Gopalapatnam mandals in Vizag and
L Kota mandal in Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh,
June 23rd & 24th

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in collaboration with Tech Mahindra Foundation came forward to the assistance of 340 mid-day meal cooks who had been affected by the pandemic at Vizag & Vizianagaram districts in Andhra Pradesh. As part of the programme 220 dry ration kits were distributed to mid-day meal cooks at Bheemunipatnam mandal, 41 kits at Gopalapatnam mandal in Vizag, 79 kits distributed at L Kota mandal in Vizianagaram respectively.

 

Bheemunipatnam mandal in Vizag : The Event took place on 23rd june 2021 Wednesday at Bheemunipatnam Govt school, in the presence of Balamani Garu – MEO, Sai Prasad – CSR Head at Tech Mahindra foundation, Praveen & Ramesh – Tech Mahindra foundation, Ch Chinna Suryanarayana – Principal of Govt school, Bhimili, Madusudan Rao SivaKoti – Annapoorna regional coordinator, Padmajigaru & other dignitaries.

Madusudan Rao SivaKoti – Annapoorna regional coordinator spoke on this occasion. Since the Govt is providing rice, Annapoorna Trust has come forward to provide other grocery items which would suffice for a month. 

 

Sai Prasad – CSR Head at Tech Mahindra foundation also spoke on the occasion narrating that this year’s impact of COVID pandemic has been much more than the previous one. We had to support many requirements like oxygen concentrators, healthcare equipment at other places. We are happy to have got an opportunity to once again come here and provide support. 

 

Mandal education officer Bala Mani Garu & also the cooks expressed their gratitude towards Annapoorna trust & Tech Mahindra foundation for remembering them again & providing them with essential supplies to make their living.

 

L Kota Mandal in Vizianagaram : Event took place on 24th june 2021 Thursday at AP model school, in the presence of Kurma Rao Garu – MEO, Praveen & Ramesh –Tech Mahindra foundation, Madusudan Rao SivaKoti – Annapoorna regional coordinator & other dignitaries.

Introductory speech was made by Sri Madhusudhan Rao. He narrated that they were looking forward to coming to help needy MDM cooks for months. Due to the lock down it was not possible. Now that there is a little bit of relaxation, this event has come true. 

 

Mandal education officer Kurma Rao spoke about Annapoorna services and felt very happy remembering them at this juncture. 79 dry ration kits were provided to mid-day meal cooks on this occasion. It is laudable to note that, MEO Kurma Rao garu had made active participation to make the program a grand success. Cooks were very happy and showed their gratitude for helping them. 

 

Praveen & Ramesh of Tech Mahindra foundation spoke about their collaboration with Annapoorna. Stating that they wanted to do some relief activity. But that would require one more helping hand to execute. So we joined hands with Annapoorna trust to make this possible. They also assured to help in the future with any type of requirements. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from the school principal. Sumptuous food was also arranged for the beneficiaries.
