2605 needy families in Tumkur to receive
grocery kits

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust is reaching out with grocery kits to 2605 needy families of rural government school cooks in Pavagada, Madhugiri, Koratagere taluks in Tumkur district in Karnataka. The distribution event was kicked off on June 9th in the presence of Swami Japanandaji. We are very grateful to Sri Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Pavagada for associating with us for this relief work. This programme will be helping 1740 families of cooks in the above mentioned taluks, who are currently unable to make ends meet due to the pandemic.

Annapoorna Trust in collaboration with ‘Rural India Supporting Trust’ (RIST) and ‘Partnerships For Change’ (PFC) has been reaching out to needy population in several states of rural India, which is now reeling under the second wave of COVID-19.

 

The grocery kits contain 10kg of rice, 2kg of wheat flour, 1 kg of toor dal, 1kg channa dal, 1 litre cooking oil, 2kg of sugar, 1kg of salt, vermicelli, along with spices such as chilli powder, jeera, mustard and turmeric.
