Annapoorna Trust members’ meet with Ayodhya Civic Officials, Uttar Pradesh – 23rd May 2022

Today, on 23rd May 2022, one month was completed for the “Store of Goodness”, run by the Municipal Corporation located in Civil Lines of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

 

Om Prakash Andani, the councillor of Ramnagar ward and the head of the Central Panchayat of Sindhi society, Ashok Madan – Secretary and his team donated the clothes and shoes to men & women in the store. Expressing his gratitude to the institution, Shri Andani said that he would continue to contribute to the interest of the entire society.


This cause the “Store of Goodness” was also appreciated by Mr Ashish Bhardwaj and Mrs Shipra Chadha, members of Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust who came from Bangalore and Delhi respectively as special guests in today’s program. Ashish Bhardwaj provided details with regards to Annapoorna Trust & its expansion which started from 50 children in 2012 in a hamlet in Karnataka to now being able to serve morning nutrition to more than 500,000 children in 22 states & 3 union territories. He laid out plans for expansion in Uttar Pradesh & the efforts made to connect with the Government of Uttar Pradesh in detail with all the dignitaries & guests present. He emphasised on the fact that, when local leaders & communities come forward in this initiative, it would convert into a Jan Andolan in overcoming malnutrition in children. This is very much the need of the hour as well.

 

 

Municipal Councillor Buddhi Pal Prajapati, Founder of the organization running the store – Harish Mandhyan, Director Neelam Mandhyan, Secretary Neetu Chawla, Mala Khatri and Darshana Kshetrapal – volunteers were present during the occasion.
